Thank you for your understanding
During the first visit, your chiropractor will perform the initial examination, which is the history. This also includes the health questionnaire and the information when opening the file that you will have filled out previously.
Your chiropractor will then ask you questions in order to understand the reason for the consultation in order to target your problem and find the cause of the problem.
Afterwards, your chiropractor will also ask you questions about your medical and family history as well as your lifestyle habits in order to have an overview of your overall health.
Following the initial examination, your chiropractor will perform a complete physical examination, including postural analysis of range of motion and gait, muscle tests, neurological and orthopedic tests.
Your chiropractor will then do her chiropractic palpation, which aims to assess the mobility of the spine and joints in order to detect vertebral subluxations and muscle tension.
Following her clinical findings, your chiropractor may refer you to an external radiology clinic (costs outside the clinic) in order to take x-rays of the region to be treated according to the relevance of her physical examination.
After careful analysis of the information obtained during the history and physical examination, your chiropractor can then establish the chiropractic diagnosis of the condition. Following your history, she will be able to assess whether there are any contraindications to treatment or underlying pathologies that require you to be referred to another healthcare professional. Insofar as a co-management with another health professional where a medical referral would be necessary, the chiropractor will let you know.
If your condition falls within the competence of the chiropractor, she will be able to offer you a personalized chiropractic care program according to your condition and your health goals. The prognosis involves determining your chances of recovery and estimating the time it will take to achieve it. Take the time to ask the questions that matter to you because you have an active role to play in changing your health. (1)

After the explanation of the chiropractic diagnosis and the treatment plan, there would be the possibility of a first chiropractic treatment. As long as there are no contraindications to treatment or underlying pathologies for the condition requiring a medical or other professional referral, she may decide to give you a first treatment.
When you have read, understood and signed the informed consent for the chiropractic treatment, the chiropractor can then proceed with a first chiropractic treatment if time permits within the time slot of the appointment.
